Musical notes in late winter

There are so many venues for music here in San Diego. One of them is Symphony Hall where you’ll find classical, jazz, movie scores and so many different styles of great music.

The Film Series at Copley Symphony Hall includes great movies such as “Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone” with the SD Symphony playing the film score. The San Diego Symphony is one of the finest orchestras in the country, and has a very rich history.

The Reader article below tells about the orchestra’s home in Symphony Towers.

It’s been quite awhile since this epic concert at the Civic Theatre. Aaron Copeland was so fun to watch conducting his “El Salon Mexico.” Benny Goodman was awesome in his performance of Mozart’s clarinet concerto. I was happy to donate the design and illustration for the concert poster. Lettercraft printing in Lemon Grove Ca donated the printing costs. The Symphony has always made valiant efforts in fund raising, presenting this concert was certainly one of the finest.
