Hiking Cuyamaca Rancho State Park

near-green-valley-falls

From a recent hike on a stormy day in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park which offers camping and hiking in an oak forest with meadows and creeks. There are over 100 miles of trails. The two campsites, Paso Picacho and Green Valley are open spring through fall. Green Valley is at an elevation of 4,000 feet and has a creek which runs through the middle of the campground. The day use area has waterfalls and shallow pools.
